Of course, we haven't really given up, it was all just a temporary ruse
to throw the anti-choicers off guard. We will continue fighting (albeit without
the bombs, fire, and caustic chemicals of the other side) to ensure that women
have access to a safe, legal abortion.
The information presented here is far from exhaustive,
but since we've heard reports that the Holy Warriors might be on to us, we have
to present this hit-and-run guerilla website before they close in.

Although it hasn't been in the news as much lately (we suspect that they have
operatives working inside the media) violence against abortion providers and
clinics continues to take lives and terrorize clinic workers.
Just this last July, Dr. Garson Romalis was stabbed in the back outside his
Vancouver clinic. Six years previously, Romalis was shot inside his own
home. He is currently in stable condition and is under police guard,
but his attacker remains at large.
The Reproductive Health & Rights Center has a list of recent
attacks against abortion
providers, a list of laws
against clinic violence, and 10 things you can do to protect choice.
The Abortion Rights Activist offers reports on attacks
against clinics and a strategic run-down of the violent guerrilla armies against choice.

National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League
fights to protect choice now, while working to reduce it's necessity in the future. Check out their site which offers tips for activists
and a congressional scorecard.
Nat'l Organization for Women -
Always on the frontlines in the battle for reproductive rights, NOW's site offers news, information on campaigns already underway, and actions you can take.
Nat'l Abortion Federation -
Founded in 1977, the National Abortion Federation is the professional association of abortion providers in the United States and Canada. The organization's mission is
to preserve and enhance the quality and accessibility of abortion services. Their members include non-profit clinics, private physician's offices, for-profit
surgi-centers, feminist women's health centers, Planned Parenthood affiliates, and hospital-based clinics.
Refuse and Resist -
A very active activist group fighting the right on such issues as reproductive freedom, police brutality and immigration. Their
site offers accounts of going up against the anti-choicers (what worked, what didn't), tips for activists, and news articles
about the violence abortion providers have been subjected to.

There are a lot of really good, informative organizations and websites out
there fighting the good fight. However, you must be careful as the anti-choice
opposition is known to sometimes hide under the guise of an abortion "counseling"
service. These "services" often offer free pregnancy tests and exist to convince / guilt / terrorize you
into not getting an abortion. There are a lot of serious issues around getting an
abortion, and it should be thought out entirely without coercion by anyone. Anyone considering
an abortion should look into counseling, but make sure you you are going to a legit service
who will talk to you and see what is best for you, instead of what they want for you.
Planned Parenthood
offers tips on how to spot an anti-abortion counseling center as well as how to locate real abortion providers.
